Planning for conflict can be difficult. Understand the problem, prepare the solution, and conduct the conversation.

Are we making a profit off of this field and off of the labor that we are putting into what we’re doing.

Sometimes we get really good at being clear with our communication, but not really honest with it.

Its not that you’re not valued. Its that you are so valuable that you don’t need to be micromanaged.

Be always thinking about where the company is and where it’s going and how that affects you.

We miss opportunities if we never stop shouting and take the time to listen and look around us.

If you want something, make sure you don’t let yourself make excuses to not get what you’re trying to get.

So if your going to set the standard, make sure you live by it.

Be very careful about, be honest with yourself about, and check on people in every possible way to make sure that you’re not making a mistake along the way.

Sometimes you mess up and being punished is just going to happen.

If you don’t have a destination, any road will take you there.

Just let it be if you can’t do anything about it.

Track everything you can.

As a leader, you can choose to allow exceptions.

You’ll probably be a bad leader, but if you’re a bad leader who is understanding and who is trying to be better, you’ll have better luck.

Even if the information seems like it should be super obvious to you. It might not be for everyone else.
